Having emigrated twice; first to South Africa in 1988 and again in 2004 to Australia, with a move back to England in between, we have first hand experience of the chaos, excitement and emotional turmoil of moving home. We know just how lonely one can feel when living in an area where you have no family or friends, and the stress of finding a new home or school for your kids (we all know how much easier it is if they're happy). That's why we would like to help YOU with your move.

Beyond the moving there's all of the organisation needed to set up in a new home and settle into a new region: The search for doctors and dentists, and a good hairdresser! The process of registering everything from your car to your pet dog, getting a driving licence and finding somewhere to live, temporary or permanent.

After spending two years in Sydney, we moved interstate to Queensland in 2006 due to work commitments. That move was the hardest of all for us, mainly because we did not have anyone here we could call to find out the everyday things we needed to know, or someone just to have a coffee and a chat with. Moving interstate from NSW was like moving to another country, having to re-register the cars, get roadworthy certificates (even though the cars are under 3 yrs old) and get a new QLD driving licence was a surprise!! After all we are still in the same country!!!

Since being here, we have met a few people who have recently used meet & greet with accommodation services for migrants, and it is clear that they have been disappointed and have not received the service that they expected.

We aim to offer a V.I.P. personal meet & greet service.

We understand what you are going through - we have done it a few times ourselves. Keep a positive attitude and with our help your exciting new life in Brisbane will soon become a reality.

Why we Chose the Redlands

...

Covering 539 square kilometres of mainland and Moreton bay islands, Redlands has a rich diversity of natural features, such as surf beaches, rocky headlands, vast areas of regionally significant bushland and mangrove forests. Because of this coastal position, the bay breezes help to make Redlands' climate milder and more bearable than surrounding areas, with the winter being a few degrees warmer and the summer a few degrees cooler.

The Islands include the breathtakingly beautiful North Stradbroke Island and tranquil bay islands. The are many cycle and walking tracks to be found, along with a wide variety of wildlife. Redlands is home to one of Australia's biggest Koala populations.

The mainland also has a lot to offer, with excellent schools and childcare services, both public and private, to be found in our well-established, leafy suburbs. The city of Brisbane is easily accessable within 35 minutes by car or train.

The Redlands area also has many excellent facilites within easy reach. From restaurants to cafes to large Shopping centres, there is plenty to do and many places to visit. For more information, visit the Redland Shire Council website.

As you may be aware, Queensland is in the grip of the worst drought in 100 years. The water supply in Redlands Shire comes mainly from North Stradbroke Island, so our water restrictions are not as severe as the Brisbane metropolitan area.
